Game Recap

The Lady Wolverines made it an interesting, nail biting match against the Sterling Tigers tonight as they came out with a 3-2 victory. Frontier captured the first two sets over the Tigers right out the gate 27-25 and 25-18. They then fell to the Tigers in the third and fourth sets 22-25 and 23-25, tying the match at 2-2. It all came down to the fifth set where the Lady Wolverines came from behind to take the match with a score of 15-9. Defense was on point tonight with Ryan Bainter and Madysen Blevins, picking up 20 and 16 digs respectively. Cari Otto and Savana Gutierrez were tough at the service line once again with a combined 9 aces for the match. Leading the offensive charge was Payton Peterson, hitting at a .393 with 12 kills. Abby Laycock added to the offense hitting at a .357. The Lady Wolverines kept the fans on the edge of their seats throughout the match, but did a nice job pulling together and coming out with the win. You can catch the Lady Wolverines back in action at home Tuesday September 12th, when they take on league opponent, Liberty Common, matches are scheduled for; C Squad 4:30, JV 5:30, and Varsity 6:30 pm.
