Game Recap

Frontier Academy wins big 97-51 Saturday afternoon in a make up game over Estes Park.

After a loss the night before Frontier Academy responded with their biggest win of the year scoring 97 points against Estes Park. “WE jumped out early and scored 30 points in the first and added 24 more in the 2nd” Coach Wood said. “I liked how we attacked the basket and hit some open looks from the 3 point circle, and as crazy as this sounds, I never felt like we got a good rhythm offensively. So to score that many points and still know we could even be better is a great feeling.”

The second half Frontier continued to dominate outscoring Estes 43-20. ” It was nice to get a win after a tough loss last night. We just need to stay focused and continue to work as a team, and our best games will still be ahead of us.” Coach Wood added.

The team had 11 players get into the scoring column. Leading the way was Zach Hidalgo with 26. Jordan Morgan and Lukas Bowles added 13. Grant Shade 9, Keegan Pike 8, Mike Rutledge and Hunter Umholtz both with 7.

Frontier also hit the 7 three pointers. Shade with 3, Hidalgo with 2 and 1 each from Bowles and Morgan.

Frontier is now 7-3 half way through the regular season and will face number 3 ranked Sterling Tuesday night.
