Our first meet of the 2017 season was a great success! We came together as a team and saw many athletes reach their goals–with some even achieving personal bests.

On the Men’s side, the distance runners threw down some fast times, too. In the 1,600 meter run Frontier Academy had four runners under 5 minutes! Junior Levi Chambers placed second in the 1,600 meter run with a time of 4:39.75, Senior John Palmer ran 4:50.16, Senior Wilson Young ran 4:52.34, and Freshman Jaden Davis ran 4:58.33!

The meet ended with our entire team cheering on our Men’s and Women’s 4×400 meter relay teams. In the internal duel between the Distance team and the Sprinters, our Women’s Sprint 4×400 team made up of Anna Stoltz, Julia Brown, Cari Otto, and Hannah Ellis earned fifth place with a time of 4:38.53. On the Men’s side, the Men’s Distance team of Tim Chambers, John Palmer, Jaden Davis, and Levi Chambers beat the Men’s Sprint team decisively with a fourth place finish and a time of 3:44.23.
It was a great start to what promises to be a great season!
