There were a lot of strong performances at the Broomfield Shootout yesterday.
We competed with much larger schools and produced many strong performances and personal records.
Here’s are some of the highlights:
On the Women’s side, Katie Bridgman ran 30.65 in the 200 meter dash. Julia Brown ran a time of 1:07.36 in the 400 meter dash. In the 1,600 meter run, Hannah Ellis took 2nd with a time of 5:17.57. In the 3,200 meter run, Molly Sears and Peyton Meyer battled it out and finished neck and neck with times of 12:27.10 (Molly Sears) and 12:27.17 (Peyton Meyer)
Izzy Ramirez earned 4th in the High Jump by clearing 5 feet and in the Pole Vault, Aaliyanah Hubert-Combs cleared 7 feet.
The Women’s 4×400 team (Cari Otto, Hannah Ellis, Julia Brown, Aleigha Street) closed out the day with a strong and gutsy run!
On the Men’s side, Bryce Sugden ran 24.82 in the 200 meter dash. Jayden Howell ran 56.96 in the 400 meter dash and then followed that with a blistering 2:11.17 in the 800 meter run.
In the 1,600 meter run, Timothy Chambers broke 5 minutes with a time of 4:57.69.
Levi Chambers ran the 3,200 meter run in 10:06.37 and John Palmer ran it in 10:39.27.
Running against stiff competition our Men’s 4×200 team (Jacob Johnson, Gavin Spaur, Lukas Bowles, Brenden Worley) placed a solid 12th with a time of 1:37.94.
