It was a very hot day last Saturday at the 2017 Patriot League meet…but our athletes’ performances were even hotter!
On the Women’s side…
Cari Otto ran the fastest time for any Frontier Academy woman this year in the 100 meter dash: 14.17 seconds! Kyra Pfost was right behind her at 15.02 seconds.
Coming off an injury and a couple of weeks out, Katie Bridgman ran 29.79 in the 200 meter dash.
Julia Brown and Ceejay Nelson both ran personal best in the 400 meter dash, running 1:05 and 1:07 respectively.
Hannah Ellis won the 800 meter run with an insane 2:24!
Emily Long placed 2nd in the mile and earned All Conference honors with a time of 5:34 and Molly Sears placed 5th and ran 5:45.
In other highlights from the day, Natalie Fosdick and Katlyn Dick both threw personal records in the Shot Put and Discus, Sarah Maxey placed 8th in the 300 meter hurdles, and Izzy Ramirez placed 2nd (All Conference) in the High Jump with a new school record of 5 feet 4 inches.
On the Men’s side…
Brenden Worley clocked a time of 52.56 seconds in the 400 meter dash.
John Palmer placed 5th in the 800 with a time of 2:07 and Wilson Young placed 8th with a time of 2:08.
Levi Chambers placed 2nd in the 1,600 and earned All Conference with a blistering time of 4:34.85!
Angus Zong-Liscum placed 7th in the Shot Put and earned a spot at the St. Vrain meet this Friday with a throw of 39 feet 4.75 inches.
And the day ended with the men’s 4×400 meter team (Lukas Bowles, Levi Chambers, John Palmer, Brenden Worley) winning 3rd (All Conference Honorable Mention)!
