Wolverines News · Frontier Loses a Tough one at Home

Tuesday night Frontier Academy found themselves down 21 at half to a hot shooting Valley team.  “Every shot they threw up from deep went in.   What shots they did miss they seemed to come up with the Rebound and we struggled to find the basket.”  Coach Wood said after the game.  The Wolverines only made 5 shots in the entire first half, and struggled to score all game long.  ” We missed 21 shots inside the key, many of them lay-ups or underneath the basket.  Thats not like us and a big reason for Valley building and keeping their league.” Coach Wood added.

The Wolverines came out after half-time and stepped up their defensive intensity.  Mounting a comeback.  Frontier was able to pull with in 4 points in the second half.  “I was proud of how we played in that second half.  We didn’t give up thats for sure.”  Wood stated.  “If we can play defense like that more consistently, we will win more ball games, but we need to do it for whole games not just part of a game.”
